Magical Turmeric & Black Pepper Sweet Cold Foam Recipe

As a huuuuge foodie who is totally obsessed with trying out new drinks and foods, I couldn’t help but notice the emerging trend of “golden milk lattes” at coffee shops and even bottled in grocery stores. I was curious about what the hype was about with these turmeric lattes and what made them, all of a sudden, blow up by health influencers. So, of course I got straight to google to search, “what’s the big deal with tumeric?” And wow, was I taken back by the plethora of seemingly magical health benefits of this superfood. Used in India for thousands of years, turmeric is what gives curry its vibrant yellow color. Recently, scientific studies have confirmed that the compounds of turmeric, especially curcumin, really do have medicinal, healing properties. I’ll list out some of the potential health benefits that blew my mind upon my initial research:

Natural anti-inflammatory

So, naturally, I rushed to a cafe to get my hands on a tumeric latte in an effort to reap these benefits. However, I was disappointed to see that these lattes typically did not contain caffeine. As a Brewbike employee and huge fan, the lack of caffeine would just simply not do. So, I got to thinking about recipes I could make at home to incorporate turmeric into my daily Brewbike cold brew. So, behold: Turmeric & Black Pepper Sweet Cold Foam!

Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients

The ingredients & appliances you’ll need are:

2 Teaspoons Ground Turmeric ½ Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper (it’s important to add black pepper to help the body absorb the curcumin in turmeric!)

1 Teaspoon Sweetener of your choice (I used Monk Fruit)

3 Tablespoons Dairy Free Milk (I used almond)

1 Frother (Available on Amazon!)

Instructions

Pour milk, turmeric, black pepper, and your sweetener into a cup

Froth all ingredients together.

Pour over top your favorite Brewbike cold brew (I used OG!)
